Full-Time Police Officer

 

The Town of Southwest Harbor currently has an opening for a full-time police officer.

 

Applicants must be 21 years old, a high school graduate or equivalent, have no criminal record, no significant motor vehicle record, and have successfully completed the Law Enforcement Pre-Service Course.  Preference for applicants who are Certified Maine Criminal Justice Academy graduates with current police certification.  The Town offers a competitive wage and benefit package.

Officer Sarah Exley

 Officer Exley has recently started working with the Southwest Harbor Police Department as a Part Time Reserve Officer. She went to the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in September of 2009 and completed the 100 hour course. Sarah is looking forward to getting to know and being a part of the community of Southwest Harbor.
